　　《哈利波特》系列的作者，七集小說陸續在一九九七至二○○七年間出版，在全球創下四億五千萬部的暢銷紀錄，並被翻譯成七十四種語言，在超過兩百個國家出版，也被改編拍成八部電影，二○一六年推出的第八個故事則是以原創劇本形式發表的《哈利波特：被詛咒的孩子》。

　　J. K.羅琳曾榮獲眾多獎項，包含表揚她對兒童文學貢獻的大英帝國勳章、西班牙的國際阿斯圖里亞斯王子和平獎、法國的榮譽軍團勳章以及國際安徒生大獎。她以個人名義創辦的慈善信託基金「Volant」支援許多慈善行動，而她擔任創辦人的「Lumos」亦致力於改變弱勢兒童的生活。

She has written three companion volumes in aid of charity: Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (in aid of Comic Relief), and The Tales of Beedle the Bard (in aid of Lumos), as well as a screenplay inspired by Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
